Poem: Secret of Change

This poem I have written with some questions in mind. They are simply a rhetorical perspective that I often come upon when involved with academia and the current state of education.

Does education provide a relief?
Is it akin to a breath of fresh air?
Perhaps compare it to a summer’s breeze
As it gives composure, confidence, and flair

The current mores of this day, today
Appear to flounder readily in dismay
Is the curriculum or the lack thereof
Exhibiting itself correctly to the rigors of reality

Does change come through the light of education
Or the vibrant color of character-ial elucidation
What makes a society, I wonder and ponder at times
For the intelligent and wealthy are often not the most kindest

If this is true then what is secret to change
How can we allow it to affect us deeply
So that it can in turn allow us to create an effect
Not only for ourselves but others as well?
