The library is a place where most students consider their second home because it is where they spend a lot of time studying, doing homework, and finding a quiet place where they can think. One of the problems we face at Kingsborough Community College is the library closing too early. This personally affects me because, as a college student, we live a stressful life because of a lot of assignments, a lot of essays to write, a lot of lessons to study, exams, quizzes, and all of this in a very short time. Having a very calm and quiet place like the library is very important for our success. We live in New York, so having a quiet place to study is challenging. The majority of students do not have access to a peaceful place at home. The library closing at 5:00 pm is unfair. Some of us come from work and go straight to class, and after class, we don’t have a place to study because the library is already closed. The library should be open at least until 8:00 pm. Let’s contribute to the success of the students of Kingsborough Community College by allowing them to spend more time in a peaceful place to study.
