Poem: City of Dreams🌆❤️by Dejanaze Sherman

From the concrete jungle where dreams intertwine,
She emerges, a spark in the city’s design.
Where there is a deli on every block.
Where high rise buildings kiss the clouds up high,
And the city keeps buzzing like bees in a hive

Yellow cabs dart the night like,
Neon lights dance, a kaleidoscope bright.
From Brooklyn Bridge’s sweeping embrace

In the heart of Brooklyn, where the bustle ignites,
There is a mall that stands tall,
High above all the rest.
Atlantic mall is by far the best.
There laughter can be seen,
Running down the hallway like tapestry

Brooklyn walks through the rain,
She walks through the storm.
With resilience like a river, her spirit won’t fold.
Her kindness is a balm,
In a world of chaos.

I may roam near,
Or I may travel far.
But Brooklyn will always have a place in my heart
